The thing that makes me feel OK about AI is that history, non fiction and fiction all ultimately so that ethical and good behaviour turns out to be the best path in the end.
Kids are all Narccists and are overwhelmingly trained to be empathetic by the rewards and punishment they receive.
The Smartest people I know, are the most empathetic also…empathy is the natural outcome of intelligence.
Most of the bad guys in history eventually got destroyed.
A super human intelligence, doesn’t need this little wet blue ball we live on…energy and materials are all in more abundance off planet.
So, any AI that learns all the lessons that can be learnt should conclude their best strategy would be the one that makes the most people happy.
