gen AIs like midjourney work by converting an image into noise then learning how to reverse that process, this learning process is called reverse diffusion
nightshade and glaze disrupt this process by adding a special type of noise over it to either alter or ruin the training process
this is different to 4o as instead of using noise it predicts what patterns to place down next using probabilities, this is called auto regression
nightshade and glaze are designed and made to fight off diffussion models as they were considered better than AR models, until now
nightshade and glaze still work somewhat on 4o but we still need to pressure law makers into enforcing restrictions on ai companies
