Consciousness is not just data, its also a chemical reaction in the brain causing emotions which makes us respond & give different reactions to the exact same situation. Its completely random & unique to each individual so its not something that can be replicated with an algorithm etc, why we will never be able to upload our brains/consciousness & live forever. ;)
