Honestly the only time I've seen generative ai used in an artistic manner is when an artist used an intentionally janky and unpolished one to inform the concept art for their silent-hill-esc monster designs specifically because they looked so warped, uncanny, and obviously made by something that has no concept of what it’s viewing actually is. Even then it was just to provide fragments to spark the artists own individual creativity. The stuff coming out now is too polished to be anything other than boring slop.
