I don't think an attorney should ethically take this case. Under US law, the code that creates AI is copyrightable, but anything created by anything not created by a human is explicitly uncopyrightable. See Naruto v Slater (2018), What is Copyright (copyright dot gov), Thaler v. Perlmutter, and the Copyright Compendium §§302, 306, 309, 313.2
