Welcome to the new world. I don't know how we will respond to all of the issues that machine learning will create. But the cat is out of the bag. Society needs to do what it can to correct bad behavior, no doubt. That said, that same technology will just help ones who don't listen to moral teachings learn to be more covert, which might be a good thing in a way(less exposure). It's a particularly bad time to be moving away from religion, even if your agnostic, that should be plain to see. We're facing the eradication of the working class in essentially all industries in the next 15 years. Maybe 25. It could be less than 10 if it weren't for quiet resistance. Every good thing and every bad thing a human can do given the time... just got that time exponentially cut. The barrier of dedication to do these things has been lowered since the time investment will be negligible. We are in the middle of the largest change humanity has experienced. Things could be great, or things could become unimaginably bad. No one can predict what is about to happen. Love each other. Forgive each other. Teach and inspire each other. Do NOT ignore each other and do NOT ignore each other's moral failings. But what does moral mean? As a Westerner with Christian structures around me "moral" is different than from various other groups in the world. /f
