Self-interest should be a part of the understanding. AI workers don't have bank accounts. The oligarchs can boost their productivity and cut their costs to the extremes, it will still be the law of diminishing returns if humans aren't making money en masse. The only reason the oligarchs have that amount of money is the large number of human customers they have cultivated. In an AI world without money, it isn't Elon Musk who wins, it's his lead engineer.
