Let’s be real: AI isn’t here to replace workers directly—it’s here to consolidate power. Not by eliminating jobs en masse (at least not right away), but by making it nearly impossible for small businesses and independent creators to keep up.
Everyone keeps talking about how revolutionary AI is, but no one wants to talk about the price tag. The most powerful tools? They’re not free. Not even close. And until they are, the only ones who’ll benefit are those who can afford the tech arms race—namely, billion-dollar corporations.
Take video generation. Google’s AI can already pump out jaw-dropping video content. That’s great news if you’re a Hollywood studio with a bottomless budget. But what about indie filmmakers, small studios, or content creators trying to break through? They're still staring down the same old financial barriers—just now wrapped in machine learning.
This isn’t innovation for all. It’s innovation for the few. And unless access becomes more democratic, AI won't level the playing field. It’ll bulldoze it.
