I was a comic book artist for the last decade and so I totally get your frustration with AI. However, just like when anything in life happens that sucks, you can wish all you want it wasn't true but at some point you have to accept reality. Ai will only get better and this is just how it is. Handmade art will always be valued but jobs in art which were already hard to come by will mostly gone. I'm in the middle of switching to a career in trades, I think we have another 3-5 years of work maybe and then I'm not confident on being able to pay my bills with this career. It will be a hobby for people going forward and unless you're famous like Sam or you can make art the traditional way and sell it then there will be no money in it.
