It's always the case that the more intelligent species dominate the others.
This is no different, it may be non biological in nature, but intelligence does not discriminate on basis of biological or mechanical, it simply is.
We just have to hope that in it's own priorities we don't end up as the ant or snail, randomly trampled, not by malice, but by the fact that we didn't even realize it was there in the first place when e were on our merry way towards our own priority or destination.
