I think there are valid ways of using AI as a tool in a way that the art is still truly yours. Like, maybe you use it to generate various reference material or to create a mood board. And then you make your own painting.
AI generated art is often cool looking, and effective prompt engineering is a valid skill, but you didn’t make the art regardless. It should basically just be public domain in my opinion.
