The real reason AI is killing the value of a degree is that you can solve problems and create new ideas way quicker than professors can. There is no need to study for so long when you can just put in the question and get an answer quickly, and it makes quizzes and tests easier. All grade schools and colleges do that; you don't learn an actual skill at college, though, for your major, you just read the fundamentals and foundational concepts of what your job is for the degree. College doesn't give you the desire to learn, but workplaces do.
