I see a lot of people in the comments claiming they can instantly recognise AI art because of odd details, disproportions and uncanny valley effect. Well, you can recognise BAD AI art. It's the same as looking at the paintings new artists make. And many times mistakes are similar.
There were a few incidents where AI art actually achieved first place in competitions. I'm not defending this, the real art takes SIGNIFICANTLY more time and effort, which greatly increases it's value on it's own. I simply state that prompting AI, tinkering with models, LoRAs, cfg, etc. takes time and effort too.
The problem is that people argue of the definitive way how to make art. Why don't you try mixing them both? In fact, many artists already do this, AI is a TOOL, not the solution to all the world, art and writing problems.
There's no doubt hand made things are much more valuable, but it doesn't mean we should ignore the technology. It's a very delicate matter, and only time will show the right answer.
You can't stop progress.
