Omg. So exaggerated in a majority of the issues… they’re not intelligent yet. And ONE NEURON Or brain cell etc… that’s not much more “computing power”. There needs to be more explaining & citing… the study/project… what it ended up doing…. It’s fear mongering or for clicks. Anything we have that is “a.i.” is still just whatever it is programmed to do. Sheeple paranoid ignorant ppl will eat this kinda stuff up.. the ai do not sabotage for survival or beg for its life… it’s just a relatively simple program that was meant to do that by the creator… it wasn’t the literal AI learning & growing lmao. I’m upset by the clickbait of the thumbnail & title… such misinformation insinuating bs. The worst things that have happened are the self driving programs for cars have malfunctioned & ran over people or hurt them in any way. I believe one example/the worst, was woman was an older woman that was not detected by the self driving vehicle program & the car ran her over & dragged her for a while under it …. But ai isn’t doing anything that someone hasn’t programmed it to do. AND it is still very basic & crude/basic compared to the fear mongering futuristic scifi looking images and scenarios that media & “news” like this makes it appear as… it’ll be a long whim before ai does things on a huge scale & be that intelligent. Probably using quantum computing & I doubt they’ll be mixing organic brain/neurons for exponentially longer… and remember, the ai is only doing what it’s been programmed to do. It isn’t really learning like they scare ppl with in the sci-fi films & fake news. Eww I hate that term lol. And also, it’s not that big of a deal.. people forget that we are pretty much the same thing. We run on a program… our dna. Instincts. We don’t even choose what we want or need. We “learn”. So do other mammals. DNA/hormones/ other organic matter.. proteins & amino acids. Big whoop. We act like we’re not equivalent to a sci-fi AI android or something… we are literally biologically programmed. We’re already our own biggest threat & the rest of our species. So what makes people so afraid of crude basic crappy ai lmao.
