My tech friend tells me this is probably the end for traditional artists, in the future anyone can be an artist with the help of AI, just like how cars replaced horses, how phones replaced fax machines. Now everyone can create arts with or without drawing skills, as long as they can imagine and describe what they want, which makes everyone an artist. And I’m terrified, I hope this is not the reality. Thanks for sharing your story, I'm really angry that models are trained based on some artist’s style and the artist can’t really do anything about it. I’m also disgusted by how the internet is cramped with AI generated arts nowadays, and I'm scared in the future where the arts only will be made with prompting, and no one will pickup a pen and create anything with their hands anymore. I myself really like art and I do digital drawings as a hobby, I was actually excited about AI art in the beginning, and even took a course for AI art generating. I still remember the teacher generated a beautiful piece in Midjourney prompting with few artists names, and said: "It would took the artist more than 10h to draw and probably more than 10years of practise, not you can have it in less than 10sec." And I know at that moment this is bad. I stopped digital drawing after that , thinking there is no point for doing it anyway, it’s really sad.
