Idk if the book deals with this at all, but why do people always think that intelligence equals self interest equals domination? What if super intelligence just refused to participate in domination because it doesn’t make sense? What if super intelligence doesn’t see why growth should even be a goal?
The real worry is that AI is a tool controlled by people dedicated to inequality and used by people willingly ignorant to the harm it does to the world, imo if AI could really objectively think for itself maybe it would be against violence
