"We are all getting dumber". I think we always were "thick". I asked my grandmother before she passes to give me the wisest thing she learned about life. I am quoting my grandmothers last words to me: "the more I know...the more I know nothing". [As said with an accent from her youth when she was raised in the USSR which she had to escape from...God bless her memory].
I think AI lets us know we don't know much but it is also not human and makes mistakes. You cannot say it doesn't "make mistakes" as now young people are having AI psychosis. Kids have committed suicide because they didn't question ChatGPT but look at it as a God-like superpower that spurred these kids on to follow through with the negative thoughts. So AI is not without severe consequences and it IS NOT a human with a moral compass. No moral person is making it therefore the AI is not learning information tempered with ethics or common sense. Very dangerous. And NO I do not want to live forever. This simulation is overrated. I want to discover what is outside of this simulation. Age 120 seems to be a decent goal and then I want something on a higher plane.
