When cars were first becoming common, no driving laws existed. It was a new technology that we needed to “mature-up” to. With the internet, and in the arena of social media platforms, we haven’t matured-up to the technology. It has caused the greatest polarization in the USA since the Civil War. Now, before we have risen up to a mature footing with the internet, we are creating AI. It is definitely not a good thing. While creators of AI are giving us fun and neat-o things to do with AI, they are also implementing the levers of control over the people with AI that 95% of the people don’t know about, or don’t care about. In the industry I’ve worked in, overtime is so acutely needed because if one business wants to stay in business, they need to work harder and longer than their competition. Other companies do that, so all companies in that industry do that. It’s ridiculous and awful to do to employees. The same thing is happening with AI. Other countries are trying to have mastery over AI, so all the other countries are doing the same. It’s really scary! We, as a planet, need to pour our energies into a global effort to explore and colonize our solar system. Just take a look at our ISS space station. Multiple countries that are getting along with each other in the same joined effort. Yes, Russia and the US get along with each other in this one endeavor. We should be building on that instead of individually working on having the best militaries. Mankind is simply doomed. If I could turn off the internet, I would certainly do so for far too many reasons to count…😔😔
