Forst of all, congratulations on an overall very balanced uet humanistic view!
Where I see a use for AI art right now is the type of "disposable" art that's often used in videos and other media where no signifigcant effort or investment is jistified. And even there I feel many footnotes need to be applied.
AI to generate a false realoty for new reporting, propaganda faked research reports and similar is where things are getting scary. You - for good reasons - argue with the economic constraints of AI companies. But the mentioned fields are examples where AI art has an intrinsic value to the "creator" whoch exceed the monetary valie of the creation. It simply is another tool in the box - and a very powerful one at it.
Maybe advertisement is a more obvious example even. When issued in large numbers by any media the cost becomes almost negligible.
In short economics isn't always the big anti-AI lever you may think it is.
