the way to make AI have empathy for us, is for us to have empathy for all beings. AI learns by example. If it finds all our content empathetic towards all beings, it will learn to be empathetic. On another note, why should we (or AI for that matter) bother saving a species that lacks empathy towards others, but only wants empathy for itself?
