Economies run in cycles. AI is changing job market but internet did the same thing in early 2000s. Some/many undergrad (and graduate) college degrees are straight up worthless in the overall job market. I entered job market in early 2000s with bachelor’s degree graduating at top of my university. I could barely get jobs that paid enough for me to cover rent and food. After laid off in 2004, I was wondering if I should go to pep boys and apply to change tires. (My family back home had a tire business). Bottom line is that I changed direction and went back to school and entered healthcare field. 20 years later, I’m finally making over 6 figures. You gotta do what you gotta do. Don’t expect that a college will get you a decent job. That’s 1960-80s mentality. Most younger guys would be better off going into the trades. Electricians and plumbers make over 6 figures. If they aren’t, they are living in the wrong place. Lol
