Hard no. Not because it's not a great idea, but because here is the sequence of events: Government will not extinguish public schools (especially left wing governments, because they want support from the Unions). IF popular demand ever became large enough, they would "retire" the teachers, into auxiliary jobs "monitoring and helping" the AI to produce content for classes. In practice, those teachers would not actually be doing anything, but being paid handsomely. Then government would come in, with full support from the Union and say "Here are the only three developers that can provide AI services for public schools", and shove down a list of, for example, the people behind Google Gemini. So now you have full indoctrination, with plausible deniability from officials because "we're not doing anything, is 'top of the line' AI producing the material"
AI is excelent, and could replace teachers, yes. In fact, it could replace a great number of jobs. But let government handle it for the public sector, especially in a delicate area like education, and be absolutely sure they will "hire the right people" to develop it
