I don't understand why countries aren't regulating AI and companies that use it, a lot more than they are. I recall hearing that Germany imposed a law taxing companies that would replace a line worker for automotive builders, by taxing the AI machine replacing him/her. So when a company replaces a human worker with AI the company has to pay taxes on that. I think this is a start and would help pay the people losing their job. I had my first real experience with AI the other day when I called a company to repair my air conditioner. I had called the same company a couple weeks earlier and had a receptionist on the telephone but this time it was her voice as AI talking to me. It was spooky to say the least but also very irritating because I knew it was a machine. It would ask me a question and I would answer, then there was a long pause 5-10 sec. It needed the time to analyse what I said so it was very awkward.
