There's some great advice in here! Thanks for sharing it. I'm a long-time hobbyist artist myself, and though I share your contempt for the technology for all the same reasons (and more), I actually experimented a bit with LLM image generation over this past winter, simply because I wanted to gain a better understanding of it, how it works, and what its capabilities and limts are. I actually found it very enlightening. But, I never publicly posted anything I generated, and I never will. I would much, _much_ rather actually _make my own art_ if I'm going to post it online or use it in a project. That's something I can point at and say "I made this." The most I'd do with any of the images the LLM churned out was send them to a friend or two and say "lol look at this derpy goober the computer made," and I honestly think that's the most _anybody_ should be doing with them. Posting more and more LLM-generated imagery and copy online is slowly degrading the Internet. To whoever might read this, please don't contribute to that degradation.
