I’ve coded professionally for over 4 decades across hundreds of DoE/DoD and civilian projects. Despite doing competitive programming and scoring fairly high, I have not written a line of code for over 5 months. At the same time, from a year ago when I would write and fix about 20-30% of the AI code, I don’t even do most of the dynamic, static and use and edge case debugging by hand anymore.
AI has gone from maybe 5X’ing my efforts a year ago while lowering my average code quality, to well over 100X at higher quality code with the latest best practices and S&P fully and deeply integrated. Further, it has created new types of dev and deployment patterns that scale much more efficiently than anything I have seen before. True code R&D in a box. This is amazing to me.
Further, I have created 100% PRD driven applications and AI systems amounting to over 100,000 lines of high quality code in just the last 5 months, which is already generating a significant amount of revenue for me. These would have taken years for me to develop with small teams before and many millions of dollars, but now I’m have done in my spare time over just the past several months.
