The most tragic part of AI is the surrendering of creative agency. AI artists are beholden to the machine with which they seek to express themselves. Creativity is a discipline, generation is a discipline. By thinking through a piece, new knowledge is gained. You understand better the possibilities and proclivities of your world because there is intent behind every detail, even if the intent was simply to draw that thing. AI eliminates the middle man, but it's the process that informs our evolution as artists, storytellers, and communicators. I believe that for many, they will find these limits frustrating, potentially turning to drawing rather than image generation. In which case, AI is just the beginning of the journey, not the end.
