I like that neil also mentions that more information might change his perspective. It also sounds like his thoughts might be more complicated than what he conveyed in this short, edited clip.
Lines of code? That's not really what these new ai systems are. It's not if this then that. It's this artificial neuron shows a link to these other artifical neurons, and now I can make a model of everything in my artificial brain. They make an imperfect model of the universe, and there answers are imperfect. The judges are imperfect; so bad answers that sound good get reinforced.
I think neural nets have been way more powerful than people realized for a very long time. And I don't quite understand why they didn't see it.
