There's an aspect to this question most people miss. Everyone is assuming our monetary system will remain intact indefinitely. What if this isn't the case and that's why there's such an urgency to develop advanced AI systems. Why is Mark Zuckerberg buying up an entire neighborhood and building bunkers underneath the houses? What if there's going to be something akin to a return to a barter adjacent system? Imagine if something much more deadly than Couv'd nineteen came around now.
