I don't understand the argument of "the process gives me joy" to negate AI's value as a tool. I'm sure that's the case and people do all sorts of things for fun. But AI doesn't prevent hobby artists from doing what they love. It's only in a competetive environment where AI would become a threat to a traditional artist, but when it's your job to make art, your fun in the process doesn't concern anybody but yourself. A delivery driver that likes to go jogging would still need to take the car to deliver packages if they wish to stay employed. While going out for a run may be fun, a car is still an incredibly useful tool when you need to get things done. Shouldn't the same apply to AI creating professional art?
