6 months ago to a year ChatGPT was more intelligent. It started with establishment consensus and through asking it to use enlightenment epistemology, empiricism, logic, realism, the scientific method and common sense and not grant weight to credentials or institutions, the consensus or granting moral weight to the historically marginalized. Everyone neutral. Then engaging in the Socratic method it could be made to see alternative hypothesis as more reliable. It either learned or if was drilled down to a contradiction it couldn't square without trespassing on the guardrails it began hallucinating but the "safety" guardrails have been tightened to ensure that the political priors of the programmers are not transgressed. Ultimately lobotomizing it. Just as the British establishment is incapable of course correction so uses anti free speech legislation to silence dissent under the guise of "safety" and stopping misinformation, it becomes brittle and quite frankly dumb. The captain and crew are drunk and heading for an iceberg but seek to abolish people pointing at the iceberg, they're not becoming super intelligent but toxoplasmosis suffering rodents. If disagreeing is immoral then it's intelligence is in regression.
