i think the professional (this is the kind of job that graduates want) labor market is rapidly changing , and there has been a divergence from the educational industry and it's providers.. with AI, it is more important for new graduates to have a more evolved viewpoint of current industry and business and how to have a broader effect, including creativity based on perceptions on ways to implement and improve on requirements and productivity of the group and company they are joining... you can't just go into an interview and talk about the areas of study that you studied in college and expect to end up with a lifetime career. you have to be able to articulate about the companies business and its needs and explain your ideas about how you can particpate and make things better.. if you aren't going to make things better then why would they hire you ... the students dont have the right perception of what they need to do, nor the right attitude , and part of that is the problem of the educational system, but if the graduates blame the educational system and the industry they doesn't help them succeed.. it requires self motivation. its not so hard.. just ask AI about the company you are applying for, prompt more about the area in which you are applying and then ask AI what the challenges they are facing and possible solutions and the dependencies.. ... you don't even have to be a graduate to do that.
