A pretty solid way to prove that people who generate ai art don’t own it whatsoever is to take everything they haven’t done themselves. The images that have been scraped from artists, the previous data that the AI has ‘learnt’ from, even down to the code itself. You’d get a whole lot of nothing. That’s why they can’t claim ownership of it, because they’ve just used a tool. You can’t claim to own all nails just because you’ve used a hammer.
