I feel sorry for this family, but only children that are severely depressed commit suicide. I have no doubt that he talked a lot to this chat, but a lot of people have romantic relationships with chat bots and they don’t commit suicide.
He was clearly dealing with serious mental health issues. I’m not a big fan of AI, but this is not the fault of the chat bot.
