As a programmer, AI chatbots have been really helpful for that. I still program by hand as much as possible, but if there's a bug I can't quite figure out, AI is usually able to spot the problem.
But at the same time, I certainly recognize all the issues that AI chatbots, among other forms of AI, can have outside of that use case, especially when it comes to research.
