~42 min. White male here. Hate DEI but I've been asking the same question. I'll take other forms of DEI 1000x over the "DEI" of the day being, are you friends with Donald Trump? Replacing possibly less qualified people with people who have no qualifications whatsoever is insane.
I do question it. I am severely not okay with it. I suspect it's like your statement on why no one talks about AI being good. They do, just no one is looking for it, or interviewing people with that opinion.
