As an artist I’m completely fine with ai using my art, IF I give consent and am compensated. Artists are not worried ai will do our job better than us or make more money than us necessarily, because there are already other artists doing those things. We’re worried that a. Our art won’t be appreciated, b. We won’t be able to make money from it at all And c. Art is going to become manufactured and mass produced in such a way it loses all its meaning and integrity. Ai can’t appreciate art, it can’t feel art, it can’t connect with art which are the main reasons art is so valuable. However if done right, it could be a huge ally to artists. If you’re an ai developer or user, just don’t be a dick.
