I think you gotta look at it from a different lens. I've never heard a coder being pissed at people who don't have knowledge of coding use it to generate code and make something out of it. Cool example - the guys from Corridor Digital have used it to write a simple Arduino script for some lighting logic for one of their sets. No one is huffing and puffing that they used AI-generated code as a medium to put out there what they had in their mind. I bet you, since software patents are unfortunately a thing, if they created something genuinely new with that AI-generated code, it's still viable to be patented. I am looking at this situation from the same lens. I'm always curious the very different reaction of software engineers v/s artists when their work is stolen for creating arts, where arguably the SWE jobs are more prone to threats from GenAI.
