i have worked on few AI projects like this . when we give a prompt like "give me a picture like studio Ghibli" the generated image is actually very much original by that i mean AI owns that particular image so its AI's own image .but here is the messy part AI has learned to do this using training data which has studio glibly picture's in them . but the companies which have collected that data did not give credit or any type of compensation according to my knowledge to creators associated with studio Ghibli . its a similar case with above artist's as well hence the need for regulation . but here is something i would like to point out , imagine that you are using a generative AI platform to create a particular type of image .lets say you are actually giving a prompt like this "generate optimus prime image like studio ghibli" the prompt that you are giving is actually from your own mind but here is the case do you own the prompt or do you own the image ? can you now claim that the image is my original creation because the prompt that you have given is from your own intellect think about this scenario who gets the credit you or the platform ,who owns the image and prompt , you or the platform think about it .
