Some loser I got stuck with for a scientific group project tried to submit their entire portion of the project as a rewritten piece from ChatGPT. The part had blatantly false information that was even conflicted by the mere titles of the scientific papers we were SUPPOSED to read AND by the graphics that were literally already in the project file, and when confronted about the blatantly false information and where they found it, they said “a blog”. We were only allowed to reference scientific articles in that project. Not only did they not use scientific articles but they didn’t even cite their information. I typed their part’s prompt into chat gpt for the hell of it and it gave me the exact same false information that they had written down. I had to redo their part for them to save my own skin because this is a junior level class’ final project in university and I wasn’t going to sacrifice my grade for their BS.
