When there's no one left to buy anything, the wealthy will just program robots to buy crap and walk by the rest of us wallowing in the slums. Maybe there will be no Terminator-style conflict with AI. Maybe they'll just be the wealthy's "perfect sentient species" who buys all their stuff, and they'll forget about us. Like "Oh no little Timmy don't go near that. That's a member of the Poor species. They're dangerous. We only associate with humans and AI citizens."
