What we need to do is plan now for how society will work when, and if, computers and tech make it so literally most people won't have jobs because there'll be literally nothing that needs done. Like 80% of the people living on public assistance. The ultra-rich will just shrug their shoulders and say "whatever, let them starve, they're surplus population", more money for me to buy my 95th mansion. The 80% need to be prepared to take up arms and ensure all the weather created by automation is spread around fairly to everyone.
