I don't know why people think that the only way forward is either let AI do it's thing and then kill us all or make AI safe... We could also not have any AI at all! I trust AI way less than humans and I personally would have all AI be less capable than humans, no matter how much it could benefit us, I believe that keeping everything in human control would be the best way to go
