I've started drawing last year and this year I've started making timelapse shorts and videos of my art. I haven't been able to draw the past month because of my illness and disability, but I would never stoop down and hit a button to make my art for me. It's how I express myself, it makes me happy when I paint irl or do a little digital doodle. I spend hours on my work while chatting with loved ones and listening to music. Where does all of that go if I just generate the art? I might as well google a picture and post that?
I picked up a pen and paper last year when I saw the trend on the internet of amazing artists comparing their art from 5 years ago to their latest work. Seeing their progress and growth made me go "Hey, does that mean if I start drawing now I can be that good in 5 years?". And in just a year I've learned and improved so much. If I went down the lazy AI path, I would not have any of the skills and knowledge I have now in just a short amount of time. I would be sitting there pressing a button.
