I am a software engineer at one of the largest companies in the USA. For the past 2 years, suits in management have been bullying us, telling us everything we do should be in AI and they wanted to fire us all as soon as possible. Now, everything is covered in slop code, and they refuse to understand why their reliability has gone to shit. I have no intention of sticking around long enough to fix the damage they told us they'd fire us if we didn't do. The people who run society are not the smart ones, they're the greedy, privileged, and performative.
