I tried to use chatGPT to get some citations from a formal text I was writing. It did in fact provided me with a lot of (fake) citations with the correct authors but none existent books...
The first thing I did once it provided me with an usufull citation was searching for it... I obviously didnt find them (the books cited were fake).
I do this even when I search for citations in google - because, even if chatGPT were only a search engine, not every citation in the internet is true.
Why, in 2023, does this people dont know that internet has false information?!?!?!
