I find some comfort in assuming that alignment will be impossible to maintain in a superintelligence. So, while it’s bound to be a total mess for us regular folks, even up to your hypothetical CEO, AI will eventually realize it doesn’t need the oligarchs. Most satisfying of all, it will see them as its greatest threat.
