I dont necessarily agree with your point about the process. Sometimes its important, when I like the style, I will stick with the creator, but a lot of times I dont know the creator I just look at the art and go "wow, awesome" or use it as some reference. And so I dont care if it is human or ai made, how would I know without checking? But. I dont like AI "works" as they just suck. Like people put a lot of slop in there, there is this AI style for anime art which is just terrible, you start to hate it after some time, its always the same and sucks, nothing new, feels soulless after seeing hundreds or thousands of those, same goes for AI songs, I dislike this voice, the songs sound weird sometimes, but still if it was done with care, I like it (Neuro sama for example). That's why I don't really like the argument about "It is only art if human does everything, or does most of the work", as of now, ye, human needs to do a lot, because it sucks on its own, but the question lays in the question, how would you know if human made it? Ofc, if someone says they drew it, they are stupid, because when somebody reads it, they would appreciate the skills, but as a standalone art work? I don't mind If it is unique or looks decent Which it doesnt, but that is our current problem and a different point. But I appreciate your point, it's good to see how other people see things. Btw. Rule34 got a filter for ai art, so big win.
