Thank you for being relatively normal. I feel like most of the anti/pro AI stuff I see is so over the top and it’s either reactionary hyperbole or virtue signalling. It’s so hard to talk about it genuinely because it feels like both sides are having this arms race of harsh words and bad faith arguments. It’s exhausting.
So often I’ll see someone say that all AI art looks like crap, or someone will say that AI art does things that no human artist ever could, and I get that it’s mostly just people pushing back against what they’ve seen and venting their frustrations but it’s obviously false and it makes it so hard to talk about the parts of this that actually matter.
