The cat is already out of the bag. Whether AI is always just a mere bagatelle (Jostein Gaarder fans in the house?) or if it really does become the superintelligence they are promising, there is no going back. It is here and it is being used. I admit that I have had some deep philosophical talks with ChatGPT, slightly pissedly (sometimes!) in the small hours, and it felt like a conversation with a real person. Good programming or something more? I don't know. But this sh1t is not going away. We need to deal with it and all its implications.
