It seems like there's a wide range of outcomes, but if the past is any indicator, then the rise of AI will be like the rise of the tractor. One day, hundreds had jobs, the next, machines take over what was manual labor in a short number of years. It would not surprise me waking up one day when AI is running everything and common people enjoy the benefits.
